Baby on Hipstamatic tour 2011 -

Filminstituttet, Copenhagen. We paid my friend a visit. He is a filmeditor. We ate at Cafe Dan Turell. Such good two hours. Two ladies where loving my daughter. Mikael is one of my ace pals. This is almost one picture per day while I was on parental leave for 12 weeks with my youngest daughter Sigrid. She sleeps in almost every picture. My aim was to document my whereabouts in this period. As you can see the pram was around town. When she woke up we would sit in a cafe and enjoy a banana and play with some toy. Eventually she learned to crawl and this whole baby development thing was very enjoyable. I got to experience a milestone in Sigrids life first-hand. Yay! Pictures are snapped with iPhone 4 app Hipstamatic, set on random. I think these filters adds an interesting glow and flare to the routine of walking. At least this made me happy. Colors in an icecold winter is always welcome.

Gaspari Nutrition Size On Pre-contest, Fruit Punch, 1.62 Pounds

Gaspari took Sports Nutrition to the highest level with SizeOn, the original intra-workout creatine drink. There wasn’t any doubt it represented a serious innovative leap forward in the creatine category. SizeOn clearly demonstrated in a clinical setting that it destroyed its competition and quickly became known as the King of Creatines. As clinical research advances, so does Gaspari Nutrition which is why SizeOn has now evolved into the Ultimate No Added Carbohydrate Hybrid Intra-Workout Whey Hydosylate Creatine Formula. Once again Gaspari Nutrition raises the bar even higher in the sports nutrition industry and has offered you a no added carbohydrate version of its original masterpiece! Gaspari Nutrition uses 12 grams of a high quality whey hydrosylate that contains over 50% di & tripeptides as well as a large array of anabolic promoting ingredients such a high dose of L-LEUCINE (5 grams) to allow for unparalleled increases in athletic performance, skeletal muscle recovery, explosiveness and most notably, immediate increases in muscle size WHILE YOU ARE STILL TRAINING. To top it off, we also included LOLA™, our cutting-edge, ammonia scavenging amino acid salt of L-Ornithine and L-Aspartate to help battle fatigue. The bottom line is that Gaspari Nutrition has once again outdone itself and yet again redefined the very category it created.

WHO WAS THIS KID ANYWAY?

WHO WAS THIS KID ANYWAY?

THERE'S PROBABLY ONE OR TWO IN EVERY OLD FAMILY ALBUM, FACES WITHOUT NAMES, PHOTOS OF THOSE YOU BARELY REMEMBER. AND WHILE SORTING THE OLD BOX OF PHOTOS THAT WAS SPARED THE TRASH OR IREVERENT DISPLACEMENT OF SUCH FAMILY HISTORY FOR WHATEVER REASON, THE SMILING FACE OF AN AGED RELATIVE OR THE GOOFY SMILE OF A TODDLER YOU NEVER RECALL SEEING OR PLAYING WITH WHILE A CHILD, POPS UP. SOMETIMES, TIME AND AGAIN, THAT FACE POPS UP TO TEASE THE MEMORY: WHO WAS THIS ANYWAY? WHERE WAS THIS TAKEN? AND THE SHOW GOES ON, PHOTO AFTER WRINKLED AND CRINKLED PHOTO, SOME WITH STAINS AND SLIGHT TEARS, SOME WITH MUSTACHES PENNED ABOVE AGED SMILES OR FROWNS. WHO? WHAT THE...? WHY CAN'T I RECALL HIS OR HER NAME? SO IT GOES, LIKE SAND IN THE "...HOUR GLASS OF TIME, THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES." AND IN THE END, WHAT WILL IT MATTER IF THE KID'S NAME WAS MILLFORD, WINSTON, PEYTON, WILBUR OR GLEN? OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE DECEASED OFFSPRING OR SIBLINGS, THE IMAGE IS PRESERVED FOR SOMEONE WISER OR SOMEONE WHO REALLY CARES ENOUGH TO CONTINUE THE SEARCH...AS TIME GOES BY. SOMETIMES, THE PHOTO IS KEPT FOR OTHER REASONS. IN THIS INSTANCE, THE GRILL OF THE THEN RELATIVELY NEW AUTO IS CAUSE FOR CONVERSATION. IS THIS A CHEVROLET, A PONTIAC OR SOMEBODY'S FATHER'S OLDSMOBILE. (I SENSE THE HOOD ORNAMENT HAS A WAR BONNET: A PONTIAC?

The Comic Toolbox: How to Be Funny Even If You're Not

This is a straightforward, often humorous workbook approach to comedy writing as creative problem-solving. In it, veteran Hollywood comedy writer John Vorhaus offers his tools of the trade to writers, comics, and anyone else who wants to be funny. Among these indispensable tools are Clash of Context, Tension and Release, The Law of Comic Opposites, The Wildly Inappropriate Response, and The Myth of the Last Great Idea. Readers will learn that comedy = truth and pain (the essence of the comic situation), that fear is the biggest roadblock to comedy (kill the ferocious editor within and rich, useful comic ideas will flow), and much more.

baby Stinker

baby Stinker

It was 1991 and i had just quit smoking (first time) and decided on impulse one night that i NEEDED A KITTEN RIGHT THEN! I already had two cats.. White Cat and her grown baby, Scottie. So.. i looked through the paper and found a lady who was giving kittnes away for free and called her up.

When i got there, i rang the doorbell and she came to the door with Stinker. I was kind of hoping to get to pick one out myself but the lady didn't think i needed to do that... She just thrusted this tabby kitten at me and told me that her Mom's name was Cyclone. lol Needless to say, i left a little worried about the whole transaction.

Turns out, she became one of the most important beings in my life. For 19 glorious years. ♥

I named her Stinker because those first few days she was really farty. lol I'm kind of like a Native American when it comes to naming animals. Little Bitty.. White Cat.. i tend to stick to descriptive names. Usually. Scottie was named after a friend. Oh, and on a side note.. the night i brought Stinker home, Scottie went missing and i never saw him again. He didn't even got a chance to meet her.. :( He just disappeared. Poor Scottie.. He was a cool kitty too.

Anyway..

Stinker definitely lived up to her Mom's reputation as well. The first 10 years of her life she was VERY athletic and active. She loved "riding the bucking chair" and could really hold on. All the while going "phffftt! phffftt!". It was really cute. And even when she was super riled up, you could pet her and she'd never hurt you. She was such a good kitty.

Growing up – Happy Canada Day

Growing up – Happy Canada Day

The baby Loon is fifteen day old today. In this image he is 11 days old. Growing fast…

Great Canadian Loon -- This diver is well-known in Canada, appearing on the "loonie" coin and the previous series of $20 bill, and is the provincial bird of Ontario. Also, it is the state bird of Minnesota.
The voice and appearance of the Great Northern Loon has made it prominent in several Native American tales. These include a story of a loon which created the world in a Chippewa story; a Micmac saga describes Kwee-moo, the loon who was a special messenger of Glooscap (Glu-skap), the tribal hero; native tribes of British Columbia believed that an excess of calls from this bird predicted rain, and even brought it; and the tale of the loon's necklace was handed down in many versions among Pacific Coast peoples. Folk names include big loon, black-billed loon, call-up-a-storm, ember-goose, greenhead, guinea duck, imber diver, ring-necked loon, and walloon.

Canada Day (French: Fete du Canada), formerly Dominion Day (French: Le Jour de la Confederation), is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the British North America Act (today called the Constitution Act, 1867), which united three British colonies into a single country, called Canada, within the British Empire. Originally called Dominion Day, the name was changed in 1982, the year that Canada gained full independence from the United Kingdom. Canada Day observances take place throughout Canada as well as internationally.

Being and Place Among the Tlingit (Culture, Place, and Nature)

In "Being and Place among the Tlingit", anthropologist Thomas F. Thornton examines the concept of place in the language, social structure, economy, and ritual of southeast Alaska's Tlingit Indians. Place signifies not only a specific geographical location but also reveals the ways in which individuals and social groups define themselves. The notion of place consists of three dimensions - space, time, and experience - which are culturally and environmentally structured. Thornton examines each in detail to show how individual and collective Tlingit notions of place, being, and identity are formed. As he observes, despite cultural and environmental changes over time, particularly in the post-contact era since the late eighteenth century, Tlingits continue to bind themselves and their culture to places and landscapes in distinctive ways. He offers insight into how Tlingits in particular, and humans in general, conceptualize their relationship to the lands they inhabit, arguing for a study of place that considers all aspects of human interaction with landscape. In Tlingit, it is difficult even to introduce oneself without referencing places in Lingit Aani (Tlingit Country). Geographic references are embedded in personal names, clan names, house names, and, most obviously, in k-waan names, which define regions of dwelling. To say one is Sheet'ka K-waan defines one as a member of the Tlingit community that inhabits Sheet'ka (Sitka). "Being and Place among the Tlingit" makes a substantive contribution to the literature on the Tlingit, the Northwest Coast cultural area, Native American and indigenous studies, and to the growing social scientific and humanistic literature on space, place, and landscape.
